Kids Sewing Class

About Kids Sewing Class

Two dates available - February 14th 2pm-4pm or February 15th 10am-12pm.

This Kids sewing class is an ideal half-term holiday activity for children . This is an introductory-level sewing class for children aged 8-12 years.

What’s included:
How to use a sewing machine safely and confidently
Practice sewing straight lines, curves and corners
Make a heart-shaped lavender bag or pincushion
Sewing machines, equipment and fabrics provided
I am insured and hold a PVG (Disclosure Scotland) certificate
I learned to use a sewing machine when I was 7 years old. So I know children can learn to sew when they’re very young. What’s more is they learn faster than adults and retain the information longer. Sewing assists in developing good hand/eye co-ordination, manual dexterity, stimulates the creative imagination. I believe that it’s such an important life skill that all children should learn – Girls and boys.

However, it’s important that they get suitable sewing lessons. My sewing lessons for children focus firstly on safety. Then we do some fun exercises to learn how to use the sewing machine. Easy childrens sewing projects are fun and are a great way to learn basic sewing techniques.

There are only a small number of children in each class so each can receive lots of attention and they are carefully supervised.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Kids Sewing Class are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
