Bookbinding and Botanicals Workshop - CANCELLED

About Bookbinding and Botanicals Workshop - CANCELLED

Join Cassandra of Bookbinding with Cass, for a creative afternoon of printing and bookbinding inspired by the beautiful blooms and botanicals at the Narcissus Flower School!

Learn the techniques required to create your own A6 decorative book, which makes for a great gardening journal, sketchbook or photo album - an ideal personal project or gift for someone special.

Enjoy an special Botanical G&T on arrival, made using the exclusive Edinburgh Gin 1670, newly launched through the partnership of Edinburgh Gin and the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh. Edinburgh Gin 1670 is made a mix of 14 native and exotic plants, inspired by the botanicals present in the garden and is named after the first physic garden which led to the opening of the RBGE over 340 years ago!

There will also be some tasty treats to get your creativity flowing, you will settle down at your workstation and be inspired by a summer bouquet made for you.

Learn how to create original botanical ink stamps, which you will use to hand-print a range of decorative papers. Cass will show you how to transform your printed papers into a hardback leather (or pleather) spine journal incorporating a decorative V-stitch binding.

Leave the workshop with your own beautiful bouquet, original botanical stamps (that you can use again and again), a bookbinding starter kit, a unique book to keep or give as a gift, and the skills to make many more!

This workshop would make a great gift for yourself, a loved one or something to do together! It will take place at our wonderful Flower School on East Norton Place on Saturday 14th July from 1-5pm. All materials and equipment provided. Bookbinding beginners welcome.
