About ‘Red Cloaks’ - A Contemporary Art Exhibition by Davy Macdonald
Sorry, but this event has been and gone!
Davy Macdonald is a dramatic artist with a story to tell. Specialising in portraiture he has been exhibiting regular shows in Edinburgh and London since 2009. Over the years, he has researched and developed historic and cultural backgrounds for his “Heritage Series” paintings which tell a story from Scotland’s past.
This exhibition showcases 3 diverse strands of work;
Conceptual - A new series of paintings called the 'Red Cloaks' which draws on the influence of student traditions and the long history of pilgrimage to St Andrews. This series is set against the dramatic land and sky-scapes that make St Andrews such a unique place.
Abstract - A new series of abstract paintings based on immediacy of execution.
Fine Art - New paintings from the "Herring Lassie" series and other paintings taking a traditional studio approach.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for ‘Red Cloaks’ - A Contemporary Art Exhibition by Davy Macdonald are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
