The Early Life and Times of Robert Blomfield: The Making of a Street Photographer

About The Early Life and Times of Robert Blomfield: The Making of a Street Photographer

The photography of Robert Blomfield is an unseen archive of high quality black and white street photography, documenting the dramatic shifts taking place in Scotland’s urban landscape during the 1950s and 60s. The photographs include candid portraits and group shots, children playing amongst the crumbling tenements, public gatherings, student life and evolving architecture. This previously private collection offers a rare opportunity to reappraise our understanding of Scottish culture at that time. This talk by his brother Johnny Blomfield, will give an insight into the man behind these evocative images.

Free event, but booking essential.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for The Early Life and Times of Robert Blomfield: The Making of a Street Photographer are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
