Dance Ihayami is running Summer Indian Dance workshops on Saturday mornings in Stockbridge!
India has 8 different classical dance forms and this summer we are running intensive workshops in two of these: Kuchipudi and Mohiniyattam.

11th August 11:30-14:00 Mohiniyattam
KUCHIPUDI is one of India's classical dance forms, from Andhra Pradesh. These workshops will be taught by Ihayami teacher Gabriela Albornoz, and are open to absolute beginners. You will be given an insight into the basics of this beautiful dance form, with its quick footwork, dramatic characterization, expressive eye movements and spirited narrative, and you will learn a short Kuchipudi dance.
MOHINIYATTAM is one of India's classical dance forms, from Kerala, and known as the dance of the enchantress. These workshops will be taught by Ihayami's Artistic Director Priya Shrikumar and are open to all levels, including beginners. You will learn some of the basics of this graceful and elegant dance form, as well as learning a short Mohiniyattam dance.
