‘Visible Girls: Revisited’ features portraits of women from different cultural groups and subcultures that Corbin captured in the 1980s - from skinheads to new romantics - and traces their lives and experiences with newly commissioned portraits of the same women now.
Alongside this, ‘Invisible Spaces’ will feature a photographic exhibition by young Scots aged 18-26, telling the story of the spaces they inhabit, what these spaces mean to them and how they shape their identity in Scotland. This is a special event brought to Summerhall by Historic Environment Scotland as part of the Year of Young People.
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Visible Girls/Invisible Spaces are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
