This session is designed for younger riders and will enhance the riders’ skills and confidence. It will take place at the fantastic Glentress MTB facility near Peebles. As well as riding the trails, we will be playing some cycling games too.The session will focus on core riding techniques including gears, braking, pedalling, balance and body position and is the foundation for mountain biking. We will, start by checking the condition of all bikes and equipment and assess rider capability, to ensure safe and fun riding at all times. The coaching will be undertaken by a friendly and experienced mountain bike coach who is British Cycling qualified with first-aid training and PVG clearance. The ratio of coaches to riders will be 1:6 maximum. In addition, we will have another PVG cleared adult taking part in the session who will also act as our driver for the day.The cost for each rider is £60 including transportation which offers excellent value for money.

Is this session for you?
You should have some experience of riding in an off-road environment on basic green graded trails and own a fully functional mountain bike and the necessary safety equipment. You should be keen to learn and practice new MTB skills and are looking for a great day out on the bike.

Timing
Riders will be picked up from the Hamilton Palace Grounds Retail car park (ML3 6AD) at the far end of the car park close to Homebase at 8:30am sharp.
