About Scratch ‘N’ Sniff: An Evening of New Writing and Music

This scratch night is a pick and mix of new scenes, music and spoken word from emerging artists. With some scenes developed by external companies (Deep Fried Theatre and 741 Productions) and more being developed by Liquid Picnic member and first-time director Harris Williamson who is taking on new writing from Thomas Jaffray and John McQueen. Also featured are the first public performances of spoken word artist Laura Modica, musician Holly Clark, and up and coming band ‘Over Yonder’.

Tickets are £4 (plus 90p booking fee) and are available through Eventbrite at our website link above. Doors open at 19:00 and performances begin half an hour later.

Founded in 2017 by Finlay Cassie and Joe Simpson Liquid Picnic Productions is an Edinburgh based production company with a passion for facilitating up and coming talent. With experience in film, web-content, audio drama and theatre Liquid Picnic does it all. On ‘Scratch ‘N’ Sniff’; producer Finlay Cassie says “After the success of our debut double bill in April, Liquid Picnic was keen to get back on stage at The Wee Red Bar, with our renewed focus on new writing and facilitating creatives a scratch night seemed like a natural fit for the company. It’s great to be back working with some of the team and some new faces as well.”
