About Heat Transfer Printing Young Maker Workshop: Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019

Young Maker Workshop for 12 to 16 years.

Learn how to create colour, patterns and textures on fabric. Maker Kim Gunn will guide you through how to apply dyes to paper before transferring onto a tote bag or t-shirt using heat. Materials provided.

Edinburgh-based textile artist Kim Gunn specialises in teaching textiles and leads the design process and surface decoration studies at Edinburgh College. Kim is a graduate of both Glasgow School of Art and the Royal College of Art in London.

Parents, carers and guardians may attend to assist young makers if required.

These maker-led workshops are part of a larger showcase, the Craft Scotland Summer Show 2019. Returning to the second floor of White Stuff in Edinburgh's city centre, the show will present work from over 41 designer/makers based in Scotland. Discover statement handmade objects for you, and your home, from established and emerging makers from Friday 2 to Sunday 25 August 2019.
