Victoria Crowe & Dovecot: Weaving Venice

About Victoria Crowe & Dovecot: Weaving Venice

Be transported to Venice as the first to see the incredible new tapestry created by Dovecot Studios and acclaimed artist Victoria Crowe.

Inspired by a detail in Victoria Crowe’s painting Twilight, Venice 2014, this new tapestry demonstrates the artists’ and Dovecot weavers’ mastery in capturing light and the sense of a place. Hear about the creation of the tapestry titled Richer Twilight, Venice from Dovecot Master Weaver Naomi Robertson, and learn about the fascinating creative relationship between Crowe and Dovecot which has resulted in projects including a 40-metre long tapestry, and a work created entirely from un-dyed wool.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Victoria Crowe & Dovecot: Weaving Venice are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
