About Playtime with Steve Hamilton

Steve Hamilton is one of Europe’s most creative and experienced contemporary pianists, performing a multitude of music from improvised to pop to film and session work. Having graduated from Berklee College of Music with full honours in 1995, he based himself in London, where his talents and reputation spread like wildfire, becoming the first call pianist across the genres for over 5 years. He also performed regularly with such internationally notable musicians as Freddie Hubbard and Pee Wee Ellis and becoming a long standing member of legendary drummer Bill Bruford’s internationally acclaimed jazz quartet, Earthworks. He is currently keyboardist with legendary drummer Billy Cobham's band.

He'll be joined for this special concert by Martin Kershaw (reeds) and Mario Caribe (bass) for an evening of hand-picked originals, standards and contemporary classics.
