About Johnnie Walker Whisky Tasting

Johnnie Walker is inviting guests to raise a glass to Robert Burns in a series of exclusive whisky tastings at the Burns&Beyond festival on Saturday 25 January.

A fitting way to celebrate the Bard, Johnnie Walker will be hosting an evening of tastings as part of the Burns&Beyond Culture Trail, giving ticketholders a taste of Scotland’s national drink as they explore the city centre.

Taking place within the grand surroundings of The Merchant’s Hall in the heart of the Capital, guests will be guided through the history and flavour profile of the world’s favourite whisky.*

Ticketholders will also sample four drams from the Johnnie Walker portfolio, including Johnnie Walker Black Label, Green Label, Gold Label and the exceptionally popular White Walker – an exclusive blend paying homage to the hit HBO TV series, Game of Thrones.

Host for the evening from Johnnie Walker, Nigel Robertson, said: “After the success of the first Burns&Beyond with Johnnie Walker event last year, we’re excited to be back to present even more tasting events to locals and visitors to the city. Our tastings offer an immersion into the history and flavour of Johnnie Walker, and nicely timed with the celebration of another Ayrshire great – Robert Burns.”

2020 sees the second Burns&Beyond with Johnnie Walker festival, running from Tuesday 21 January until Sunday 26 January. A highlight in the programme, the Johnnie Walker whisky tastings will make up part of the Culture Trail; an immersive event taking guests through nine extraordinary spaces in Edinburgh’s Old and New Town.

Burns&Beyond Culture Trail ticket holders will be given a start venue on receipt of their ticket, but can visit as many of the venues as they choose. Tickets for the Johnnie Walker whisky tasting cannot be purchased separately.

Culture Trail tickets are priced at £25.00 per person
