The Hidden Lane Gallery opened its doors for the first time in early November 2009. In the former hearse and limousine garage of the local funeral undertakers, the gallery was set up by Joe Mulholland – who has developed the nearby Hidden Lane complex at 1103 Argyle Street in the areas between the main road and St Vincent Crescent. This provides workspace for artists and musicians, designers and jewellery makers, writers and publishers, woodworkers and architects, French polishers and sculptors and several recording studios.
Home of the wonderful work of photographer Margaret Watkins (if you don't know the story, swing by and ask about it) exhibitions have included African Art, glass, photography, paintings and the work of Glasgow Artist Alasdair Gray.
The gallery is open 1100-1700 Tuesday to Saturday.
