Celebrating 30 years in Edinburgh. Howies was founded in 1990, and is still a family owned restaurant collection based in Scotland’s Capital. Though the historic buildings in which we are situated have been there for literally hundreds of years.
Howies Victoria sits on Edinburgh’s famous Victoria Street, one of Europes most beautiful streets just a 2 minute walk from Edinburgh Castle and The Royal Mile. Just on the right hand side as you turn the corner in this etching that’s where we are.
Our food is ‘Scottish, seasonal & seriously tasty’ using only the very best ethically sourced Scottish produce from local suppliers.
Our menus evolve throughout the year allowing us to celebrate each season in style. This ensures you can enjoy our core of traditional Scottish favourites, vegetarian and vegan dishes, freshly caught shellfish, fish, our wild Glen Lyon venison and other game. In a nutshell, come to Howies and you know you will be eating the freshest most delicious food possible.
