On Sunday 24th of April 2022, the historic Dunglass Estate – which has recently gone through a substantial renovation and refurbishment of its events venue and self catering accommodation - is due to open its doors to the public for the first official Wedding Fair and Open Day since completion of the build.
Located between East Lothian and the Scottish Borders and once described by Robert Burns as ‘the most romantic sweet place I ever saw’ in a tribute paid to the estate in 1787, the same rugged coastline, ancient woodland and landscaped gardens surround the venue.
Dunglass Estate invites prospective couples and guests to wander through the manicured grounds, take in the stunning panoramic sea views, sample delicious canapés and wood-fired pizza slices, enjoy a drink with music and lawn games, all while gathering inspiration from exceptional florists, bridal wear, and event stylists. Local suppliers such as Sophia Grace Couture, Wood Oven Wonders and Ride Grind Coffee will be in attendance, among many more. There’s something for everyone to discover.
Owner and Managing Director, Simon Usher comments, “We are very much looking forward to being able to invite people to enjoy the estate and to see all the amazing changes that we have made to the venue over the past two years. It has been a tough time for couples and the wedding industry, so being able to showcase and celebrate our latest developments and plan for the future is incredibly exciting.”
The venue, which offers a range of bespoke packages from small, intimate weddings costing less than £10,000 to larger scale options with capacity for up to 150 guests, boasts a private 15th Century Gothic Church, all inclusive Wedding Pavilion and gorgeous indoor/outdoor Stable Yard. With luxury onsite accommodation included (also available to book separately for holidays), the impressive Seaview House, authentic cottages and the contemporary Honeymoon Treehouse will also be open for guests to explore (you can even say hello to the resident alpacas)!
Dunglass Estate’s dedicated Wedding and Events Team will be on hand for one-to-one’s to discuss wedding and event planning and availability as well as answer any questions.
The event has free entry with free onsite parking and a glass of fizz and goody bag on arrival.
