This year’s event will take place on 1st October with a choice to take on a 10k or half marathon challenge, with the Junior & Mini kids events taking place the day before on Saturday 30th September.
With a city centre start and finish, the event is a celebration of everything that makes Glasgow truly great: inspiring urban architecture, green spaces, history, music, strength, spirit and, of course, great people, personality and humour. Thousands of runners take part each year to challenge themselves and to raise money for good causes. And Scotland’s friendliest city always delivers on the support front too, with crowds of locals turning out each year to cheer and high-five from beginning to end. Plus there’s medals, finisher t-shirts and bragging rights for all!
Complete with high-energy entertainment, invigorating crowd support and local musicians around the course, 2023 is not one to be missed!

The kids take centre stage on Saturday 30 September 2023 at the AJ Bell Junior and Mini Great Scottish Run. The iconic Junior event for 9-15 year olds follows a 2.5km route, and the Mini event for 3-8 year olds is over 1.5km.
Both races are full of fun, fancy dress and high fives, providing a brilliant introduction to running events!
With a buzzing atmosphere and a medal and goodies handed out at the finish line, the AJ Bell Junior & Mini Great Scottish Run has it all. Sign your little ones up for a big day!
