Jorvik Tricycles, the leading manufacturer of tricycles based in York, is celebrating after yet another successful event. The Expedition Edinburgh Try-Cycle event ran for two days on the 20th and 21st October 2023 at The Royal Highland Centre, Edinburgh.
The event was open to the public and was an opportunity for cycle enthusiasts to try riding on three wheels, taking full advantage of the range of Jorvik Tricycles products which were on display and available to ride throughout the whole event. A custom–built indoor track was set up inside the Centre especially for the event.
Over two days, 70 enthusiasts attended the event for the chance to learn about the biggest new trend in cycling. Attendees enjoyed one-to-one time with brand representatives who talked through the product range and the benefits of travelling on three wheels, as well as the advantages of tricycles compared to a traditional bicycle. It was a successful weekend of sales, with the Jet-E Jorvik Tricycle (RRP £2,699) performing the best with customers.
Jorvik Tricycles has so far held two previous in-person events, in York and Henley-on-Thames respectively. The Try-Cycle events look set to continue as part of Jorvik Tricycles’ commitment to customer service and building relationships with the community it serves.
Speaking about the event and plans for the future, Founder and Managing Director James Walker said: “It was a fantastic experience to take our tricycles up to Scotland for the first time and unveil the full range at The Royal Highland Centre.
“We were overwhelmed with the positive feedback from customers who came to our event. Talking one-to-one with people who are interested to learn more are the most important conversations we have. Ultimately, we want anyone with a Jorvik Tricycle to pick up their new purchase, feel confident riding it, and enjoy it from the moment it becomes their own.”
Jorvik Tricycles was born when James built his father a tricycle following a Parkinson’s diagnosis, which meant that he could no longer ride his bicycle.
“We’re making the outdoors accessible again,” says James. “It’s about helping people make the most of their world - whether that’s the city or the countryside, there’s a Jorvik Tricycle for everyone!”
Jorvik Tricycles’ next Try-Cycle event will be announced soon. For more information and updates on upcoming events, please visit: www.jorviktricycles.com.
