Offering up the ultimate New Year’s Eve experience, the Hogmanay Ball which is taking place in Greyfriars Hall, a beautifully restored gothic church, will give guests the chance to bring in the New Year like a true Scot. Starting at 7pm with a champagne reception and canapes, followed by a 4-course dinner with wine pairing, the menu, which was especially created for the event, celebrates the best of Scottish cuisine. Guests can expect a menu of Belhaven smoked salmon, Roasted Scottish beef, Winter barley risotto and a Scottish Drambuie cranachan. Post dinner, guests can then let their hair down with traditional ceilidh dancing played by the live band. As the clock reaches midnight, a glass of champagne will be served to ring in the new year, followed by a tempting selection of late night snacks.
Those looking for a spectacular start to their New Year can book Commons Club’s exclusive Hogmanay event. Set within Commons Club Restaurant, Virgin Hotels take on a modern-day social club, guests will be able to enjoy an instrumental set by jazz and funk duo, Sapphire Notion, whilst enjoying a five-course menu specially curated by Chef de Cuisine Emma Hanley.
