Morningside’s McLarens on the Corner is offering grandparents the chance to eat for free when they dine out with their grandkids at the family-friendly venue on weekdays between Friday 28th June and Wednesday 14th August.
One grandparent will enjoy a free main course from the McLarens menu when dining with a full paying grandchild or number of grandchildren.
Served daily until 2pm, McLarens brunch menu includes a choice of hot morning rolls, as well as full Scottish and full vegetarian breakfasts. Served daily from 12pm, McLarens all day menu includes soup of the day; burgers and sandwiches; pie of the moment; and fish and chips.
The mini menu for kids aged 10 and under includes fish and chips, bangers and mash; and mac and cheese, priced at £6.95 per portion. A kids’ breakfast menu is also available, including scrambled eggs, sausage, beans and toast; Nutella and banana pancakes; and porridge.
Located on the corner of Bruntsfield and Morningside, McLarens has quickly established itself as one of Edinburgh’s leading family restaurants since opening its doors in 2020. A choice of all day menus, as well as alfresco and indoor dining options are available for families and their four-legged companions.
General Manager of McLarens on the Corner, Murray Tavendale, said:
“At McLarens on the Corner, we pride ourselves on being one of Edinburgh’s best neighbourhood restaurants. We use the best fresh Scottish produce to create delicious, hearty dishes to suit the whole family.
“To help kick-start the school holidays, our new ‘Grandparents Eat Free’ initiative allows grandparents the chance to enjoy a free main course when they dine out with their grandkids on any weekday, including breakfast and brunch.
“If the sun is shining, our garden provides plenty of space for alfresco dining. Four-legged fiends are welcome to come along too.”
The ‘Grandparents Eat Free’ offer is available until 5pm on weekdays only from Friday 28th June until Wednesday 14th August and excludes the steak and chips option from the main menu. Grandkids must dine from the full price McLarens children’s or main a la carte menu.
McLarens restaurant, bar and garden is family-friendly and dog-friendly with accessible ground floor and first floor spaces and accessible bathrooms.
