His Majesty’s Royal Marines Band Scotland have been putting the final touches together for their performance at this year’s Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo – onboard the unique setting of the mighty HMS Queen Elizabeth.
Anticipation is building as there is only one month to go until the Tattoo presents Journeys at The Edinburgh Castle Arena, with lead military service the Royal Navy.
The performance will pay tribute to seafarers that brave the ocean to travel across continents bringing people and cultures together.
Led by their new Principal Director of Music, Lieutenant Colonel Huw Williams and Corps Drum Major, Warrant Officer First Class Chris Mace MVO, musicians and buglers from The Massed Band of His Majesty’s Royal Marines will transport audiences on a musical voyage with sea shanties and traditional Naval tunes with a contemporary twist.
Performed between the 2 - 24 August 2024, audiences can expect the magnificent sounds of His Majesty’s Royal Marines Band and acts from across the globe bringing diverse cultures and vibrant energy to this highly sought-after spectacle.
