Edinburgh Cocktail Week

About Edinburgh Cocktail Week

This year we are introducing exciting new elements to the festival which include a Cocktail Village at Festival Square on Lothian Road, a secret masterclass hub & bar on Queens Street, a week-long program of events & parties across the city, and over 80 of Edinburgh's favourite cocktail bars!

Just like last year, all participating bars will create a brand new Signature Cocktail which wristband-holders can enjoy exclusively for £4 each. New bars this year include The Permit Room at Dishoom, Baba, The Voyage of Buck, Black Ivy, 56 North, Finn & Bear, Miss Woo's, Checkpoint and many more, plus all the favourites from last year.

The Cocktail Village is free to enter with an ECW wristband, and will be the epicentre of this year's event, where you collect your wristband and free copy of the ECW Guide. Enjoy £4 signature cocktails from 15 pop-up bars such as Edinburgh Gin, Belvedere Vodka, Jameson Whiskey, Ableforth’s Gin, Altos Tequila, Smokehead Whisky, Rock Rose Gin and many more.

Wristband-holders can also book tickets for masterclasses at 'The Secret Spirits Study' pop-up on Queens Street, hosted by Wemyss Malts and Darnley's Gin. Learn how to create classic cocktails and blend gin or whiskey with industry experts before creating your own cocktail to bottle and take home. In the evening the venue transforms into a cocktail bar, with a program of bar takeovers from top bartenders from across Scotland shaking up creative cocktails for you to enjoy in the lounge or underground bothy. The exact location is being kept top secret and will only be revealed to those attending masterclasses and evening events.

Throughout the week there will be program of events and parties across the city as brands and bars collaborate to host exclusive brand residency evenings. Expect mini masterclasses, vibrant DJ sets, industry experts, free merch and some fancy cocktail flairing as brand ambassadors and local mixologists unite to shake, stir & strain a repertoire of creative cocktails.

And the benefits of an ECW wristband don’t end there: wristband-holders can also enjoy free entry before midnight to top late night venues including Opal Lounge, Shanghai, Lulu, and Edinburgh’s newest edition 4042, plus additional perks on dining, beauty and retail, including exclusive discounts at Royal Mile Whiskies and Drinkmonger - this year's 'Official ECW Bottle Shop' and on-trade supplier to participating bars.

Buy your wristband in advance and you will be the first to hear about the signature cocktails, masterclasses and events & parties via our priority newsletter.

While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Edinburgh Cocktail Week are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
