Capital Sci-Fi Con 2019, Edinburgh’s not-for-profit pop culture, comic and movie convention returns to the capital for its fourth year (15-17 February 2019), bigger than ever with a new day added to the event.
All profits from the event will be donated to Children’s Hospices Across Scotland – better known as CHAS - Scotland’s national children’s hospice service which cares for babies, children and young people with life-shortening conditions.
Organised for fans by fans, 2018’s event attracted over 8,000 fans from across the UK and raised an incredible £74,740.55 for CHAS.
Movie stars lined up to attend the 2019 event are still under tight wraps and will be unveiled later in the year. 2018’s event saw fans go wild for the seventh Dr Who, Sylvester McCoy, and his companion, Sophie Aldred and Jeremy Bulloch, who played Boba Fett in the Star Wars films.
A retro gaming room, original movie props, movie star panel talks and over 100 stalls selling specialist items will all be back for 2019, along with the weekends highly anticipated cosplay competition.
Also back by popular demand is Meal with the Stars, which was a highlight of Capital Sci-Fi Con 2016 and 2018. It offers super fans the chance to dine with Capital Sci-Fi Con star guests on Saturday 16 February, enjoy a three course meal prepared by Saltire Hospitality and access to a full bar and entry to the after party. 10 tables with 10 seats per table are available and going fast! Don’t miss this opportunity to geek out with your favourite film and TV stars!
While we take every opportunity to ensure the details for Capital Sci-Fi Con 2019 are accurate, we always advise that you contact the event organiser before setting out for the event to avoid disapointment.
