Pink Floyd's influential album, The Dark Side of the Moon has sold 50 million copies since the first press launch in 1973, which was held beneath the twinkling stars of the London Planetarium. In 2023, the Planetarium at Glasgow Science Centre is excited to continue the legacy through the album's 50th anniversary year. A brand-new, fulldome experience sets 10 tracks from The Dark Side of the Moon to mesmeric 360° visuals. Join us under the dome as one of our expert astronomers takes you on a journey to the dark side of the Moon and beyond, before you sit back and lose yourself in this incredible audio and visual treat.
This stunning fulldome planetarium film is an immersive experience set to the latest audio remastering by James Guthrie and Joel Plante of das boot recording. Fulldome film production house NSC Creative worked with Aubrey Powell, Pink Floyd's creative director, to set the 10 tracks to the visuals.
Additional Dates: 26 May 2024
