Conservation in Action at the Georgian house- frames and gilded collections
Join us from Monday the 8th to Saturday the 13th for conservation in action, as we prepare three ornate wood, gesso and gilt 18th century frames for our upcoming Allan Ramsay and Edinburgh fashion exhibition, pop in to see our expert frame conservator undertaking remedial conservation during the week.
There will be an opportunity to talk to the Trusts regional conservator about collection conservation and learn about the care of gilded materials, and see the tools, materials and techniques we use for historic gilt frame conservation and the gilding process.
Informal drop in between 10am and 4pm.
Entry is included in the admission price to The Georgian House
