Twenty Princes Street has made a real impression on the dining scene in Edinburgh since it opened its doors in Summer 2013
This award-winning restaurant presents a wondrously elegant and stunning setting that is sure to bewitch even the most cosmopolitan of patrons with a seamless mix of traditional elegance and contemporary design. Twenty Princes Street has made the most of the grand proportions of its Victorian heritage and cleverly combined this with tasteful modernity creating a bold, brilliant ambience full of energy and zeal. Luminous and inviting, Twenty Princes Street is an exciting melange of smouldering black leather and burnished gold upholstery, with sleek lacquered accents set against a striking backdrop of white and gold and beautiful oak floors.
One of the most eye-catching elements is the stunning ornate ceiling which has been sympathetically reinstated and dazzling crystal chandeliers loom majestically overhead in this large yet, intimate space.
INVENTIVE MENUS USING LOCALLY SOURCED PRODUCE
Chef Tony Sarton demonstrates his culinary flair with an inventive and eclectic menu that keeps pace with the seasons and uses only the finest locally sourced ingredients. There’s an exciting choice of fish and seafood dishes while the selection of steaks are a signature of the restaurant.
The kitchen brigade take full advantage of the state-of-the-art The Josper Grill (pronounced ‘Hosper’), which has been by world-famous chefs including Gordon Ramsay, Heston Blumenthal and Jason Atherton. Of Spanish origin, the Josper is a sealed oven, fuelled by a Bincho-tan ‘white’ hardwood oak charcoal, ensuring meat, fish and vegetables are delivered perfectly – creating unrivalled flavours for discriminating diners.
