About Colour & Cloth Purple and Prince: Pop stars in Colour
Purple is probably the most sought after colour in history. Relatively rare in nature, it is a key colour in art, religion, mythology and for royalty. Purple is also the colour of the musician Prince, at least since 1984 when he released Purple Rain. Join Caroline Young, author of The Colour of Fashion: The Story of Clothes in Ten Colours (Spring 2022) as she discusses the colour at the furthest end of the spectrum.
