A herd of 13 dinosaurs, built using 500,000 toy bricks, will be descending on The Centre, Livingston this Easter from the 1st – 18th April, including a 7ft tall Parasaurolophus made from 113,625 bricks and a 12ft long Velociraptor with 46,352 bricks.
Joining the prehistoric creatures, which is part of a spectacular BRICKLIVE ‘Brickosaurs Trail’, will be a 6ft x 5ft Tethyshadros, a Pteranodon with an impressive 9ft wing-span and a 5.5ft armour plated Ankylosaur with bright, colourful spikes on its head and sides.
It will also include two 6ft x 4ft interactive selfie zones, with one featuring a huge Megalosaur head to capture fun photos.
A team of 20 designers and master builders took over 3000 hours to build the exhibits which involves creating a 3D digital model featuring the toy bricks and colours using computer sculpting software, that are then built around stainless steel frames and glued together one brick at a time.
As well as getting up close with the dinosaurs and learning some interesting facts about them, visitors will also have the chance to take part in a free ‘Brickosaurs Trail Hunt’ to try and track down all the creatures in the shopping centre, which they can pick up from the Customer Service Desk, located next to New Look.
Completed booklet trails can be returned to the desk and entered into a competition to be in with a chance of winning a £50 Gift Card every day during the event.
The exhibits are presented and built by BRICKLIVE who use toy bricks and models to create interactive family events and experiences for brick fans around the world.
