Herbie Hancock’s seminal jazz funk group The Headhunters has been a big influence on award winning pianist Alan Benzie. With Konrad Wiszniewski on saxophone, Ben MacDonald (guitar), Ewan Hastie (bass) and Mark Scobbie (drums), they play infectious grooves, high energy interaction, with lots of good vibes on classics like Chameleon and Watermelon Man.
