Learn to Knit with Sara from Castaway Knitting
This class will cover and practice all the basic knitting moves:
casting on
knitting
purling
decreasing stitches
increasing stitches
fixes
binding off
I also go over that crazy-looking knitting language, different yarns and weights, what you need to look for when you go to a knitting shop and what equipment you need… and any other questions that might come up!
I have a maximum of 5 people per workshop (to make sure that you are not left stranded should you drop a stitch) and we will work on producing a small but beautiful project…all materials are provided to make a pair of wrist warmers (wool, wooden knitting needles, a pencil and instructions)
This course is aimed at total beginners or those who are a little rusty and would like to get back into knitting.
Location: Festival City Market, Waverley Market, 3/48 Waverley Bridge, Edinburgh, EH1 1BQ
