Join us for a special programme of acclaimed documentaries directed by women.
This year’s documentaries tackle mental health issues and politics through a personal lens and a female gaze.
Screenings will take place both in Inverness and Edinburgh on the same day, as well as being streamed online.
September 10th 3.30pm – Self-Portrait by Katja Høgset, Espen Wallin, Margreth Olin.
September 11th 4pm – Beyond My Grandfather Allende by Marcia Tambutti Allende.
September 17th 4pm – All About My Sisters by Wang Qiong.
September 18th
2pm – Island of the Hungry Ghosts by Gabrielle Brady AND Closing Panel Discussion.
4 pm – Closing event of our Phenomenal Women series for a panel discussion with special guests who will be bringing their own perspectives on mental health and politics, filmmaking, activism, ethics and the specific set of challenges that women making documentaries face in the industry and beyond.
This event is taking place in the Anatomy Theatre at Summerhall
