Martyn Robertson's award-winning Scottish documentary takes a very personal and intimate look at a family trying to tread the very narrow line between supporting and encouraging a gifted child in realising his wildest dreams and ensuring that child is nonetheless safe and protected.
Ben is already a junior champion surfer, but he wants more than anything to raise himself to elite level by taking on and succeeding at riding one of the most dangerous cold water waves in the world at Mullaghmore, Ireland. What ensues is both a tender tale of a young man's coming-of-age, aligned with a tale of real death-defying danger.
