Following on from his sequel to Blade Runner Denis Villeneuve takes on the massive challenge of bringing Frank Herbert's sci-fi epic to the big screen in a meaningful and coherent manner.
New Hollywood heartthrob Timothée Chalamet stars as Paul Atreides the callow son Duke Leto (Oscar Isaac) of the planet Caladan. When Leto is handed control of 'spice' harvesting on the planet of Arrakis, a series of military and political manouevres are set in motion that will put the Atreides in direct conflict with the Harkonnens resulting in a new galactic war.
