This Black History Month, join NTS Facing Our Past project leader Jennifer Melville to learn more about Edinburgh's Black history at the turn of the 18th century.
From rum ladles to dressing tables, explore the hidden histories behind everyday objects over three floors of the house through our specially designed trail.
Then settle in for a talk in our Drawing Room, to learn about how class, identity, independence, and money touched the lives of people and objects connected to this history.
Learn how new research is diversifying our knowledge of what life looked like in Georgian Edinburgh.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
