Family, home, belonging. We’ve used these important themes in our lives to create a story, shown through the eyes of a quick-witted, adventurous raindrop!
Jump on a parachute with kangaroos in Australia! Participate in a snowball battle with penguins in Antarctica! Race with giraffes in Africa! Travel round the world with us and help our raindrop find her home.
‘Once Upon a Raindrop’ is a funny, cheerful walk-through performance for wee ones and their grown-ups with lots of sensory games and… magic!
The performance was created by co-authors Svetlana McMahon (Producer) and Natalya McDonald (Performer) in collaboration with Deaf Artist Mae Al-Kalamchi.
Magic consultant – Kevin Quantum
Set design – Anna Edovina
Design mentor – Alisa Kalyanova
The show development was kindly supported by Starcatchers and Deaf Action, funded by Creative Scotland Open Fund.
Each performance is accessible to d/Deaf and hard-of-hearing audiences.
This show is suitable for toddlers from walking age to 3 years old, babes in arms do not require a ticket.
Venue: Deaf Action, 49 Albany St, Edinburgh EH1 3QY
