Come and hear five contemporary Edinburgh poets share their work. When Allan Ramsay published his anthology of Scottish poetry and song 'The Evergreen' in 1724, it established a unique tradition for Scotland's culture. Edinburgh polymath Patrick Geddes revived 'The Evergreen' in the 1890s. Between 2014 and 2019, 'The Evergreen' returned with a fresh celebration of poetry, prose, and art. In this event, five poets who contributed to this most recent anthology will share their Evergreen contributions and some of their latest work.
This event is organised in collaboration with the Scottish Poetry Library (5 Crichton's Close - off Canongate, Edinburgh, EH8 8DT) which will be hosting the event.
