A work of art has the ability to hold our attention, to make us pause and think, or experience an intense emotional reaction and in essence hold our gaze.
In a broader sense artists hold on to a feeling, a vision, an idea, the emotional, the sensory or even a political reaction to something that's touched them; holding on to something in reality that our sensibility has been moved by; to preserve it; keep it intact through particular media.
Aizle Artist Collective was formed in 2020. Its name is taken from the Scots word for ‘ember’. Current members are Catherine Barnes, Ronald Binnie, Kirstine Drysdale, Rod Malloch, Karen Shewan and Mel Shewan. The debut exhibition in 2021 was highly successful, with favourable reviews and excellent sales. This year we return to the gallery for our second exhibition HOLD.
For more information, and a preview of the artists’ works, visit the website link above.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
