The Edinburgh Easter Play

A large-scale community passion play bringing the Easter Story to life. This year’s production is a large-scale traditional passion play in full costume, played out beneath the iconic backdrop of Edinburgh Castle. Encounter the ordinary people at the heart of the Easter Story who witnessed the events of Jesus’ life, death and Resurrection.
Join us to watch one of the world’s great stories brought to life in Edinburgh’s most dramatic location.

This is a site specific show with no seating, however we have some seats for people that are unable to stand. We suggest you come in advance to request access help or bring some folding chairs.
Families are welcome to attend a pre-show Treasure Hunt 12.30-1.30. Children of all ages are welcome, but must be accompanied by at least an adult. Register in advance here or at this link https://forms.gle/RRcnn77qeog8WRsJ7
