The purpose of this event is to provide a low-cost community gathering for those looking for connection, catharsis and rejuvenation. The event will provide an opportunity for participants to work through any difficulties they may be experiencing in a group setting, with experienced facilitators, surrounded by nature.
Location: Planetary Healing Centre, Cockburnhill Road, Balerno, EH14 7JB
Weather permitting we will sit in circle around a camp fire, however we will also have shelter in the woodland hut if the weather is not favourable.
Please wear clothing and footwear suitable for nature walking and whatever the weather is on the day.
We’ve created this event in response to feedback from some of our community who are looking for a safe space to connect and share anything they are working through to support healing, spiritual and personal development.
Due to the nature of the event, it is limited to 8 participants to create a more intimate experience.
Who is the event suitable for? The event is for anyone drawn to a group sharing circle, where there will be an opportunity to share anything that feels important for you with the group and hold space for others when they are sharing. This is a unique event that can support individual and community healing.
Who is the event not suitable for? The event is not intended to be a treatment for mental health problems. If you have recently received or are currently receiving treatment from a psychiatrist, psychotherapist, or counsellor for an on-going mental health challenge, The Mindful Enterprise advise that you obtain approval from your mental health professional and/or doctor before signing up for this event at this time.
If you’re not currently seeing a specialist to support you in your mental health journey, it’s important to understand your current state of emotional wellbeing before deciding to sign up. The event could be extremely valuable to support you in your journey or the timing might not be right. We empower you to make your own choice, no one knows better than you about what you need. We will be happy to chat with you if you have any questions.
The rough format of the event will be as follows:
Welcome / Introductions / Group Agreements
Opening short meditation with intention
Guided nature walk and body movement to open up the senses and connect with the body
Back to the circle for meditation with reflective question (invitation to share)
Closing meditation
We will provide a drink and a small snack at the end for those keen to stay around for relaxed social bonding.
Exchange – We encourage you to pay what you can within the following options
