Location: The University of Edinburgh, 50 George Square, Newington EH8 9JU
Peter Taylor’s distinguished career has included coverage of the Irish conflict and political violence for the past 50 years. He has won many awards for his work including Journalist of the Year, the James Cameron Award and Lifetime Achievement Awards from both BAFTA and the Royal Television Society. He was
also presented with an OBE and an Honorary Doctorate in Peace and Security Studies from Bradford University.
Bringing together public servants, academics and policy makers, the lecture looks to foster a considered discussion on the constitution of Northern Ireland. As the post-Brexit spotlight grows ever brighter, the need for considered engagement on Northern Irish issues across the UK and Ireland grows too.
