About Edinburgh Writers’ Forum - July Meeting
The Caledonia Novel Award is an Edinburgh-based, international competition for unpublished and self-published novelists. It first opened to entries in 2014 and has enjoyed numerous successes over the years in terms of both publication and agent representation. Founder Wendy Bough will discuss the history and achievements of the Award, from its inception to this year's 10th anniversary, and will discuss how the competition has evolved and grown, what changes she has seen, and what she's hoping to discover amongst this year's entries!
Camilla Grudova is the author of The Doll's Alphabet, Children of Paradise, which was longlisted for the Women's Prize for Fiction, and the forthcoming The Coiled Serpent. In 2023 she was named of one Granta's Best of Young British Novelists.
