With the summer season now underway and colourful flowers blooming, why not learn how to make a wonderful bouquet to brighten up your home or give as a gift to a loved one?
Our horticulturist will give an introduction into our cut flower patch before handing you over to our local florist ‘Flowers by Isla’.
Using seasonal sustainable cut flowers from our very own farm, Isla will teach you in this beginner friendly workshop how to condition your flowers for longevity, look at colour & texture matches and assist you with building your bouquet. As well as learning the best techniques and methods to cutting flowers.
“It was lovely to cut your own flowers from a fabulous range of flowers grown on the farm. We then were shown how to arrange them and given great tips on how to make the arrangements last, then best of all we got to take them home. We were also treated to homemade scones and jam which were delicious. Wonderful afternoon overall.“ - Previous Workshop Attendee
Everything needed to take part in the workshop will be provided to you, with cake and refreshments included. As a result of our small class size, our host is able to provide one-to-one support to attendees and build confidence in their florist skills in a supportive environment.
Please note: we have bee hives close to the flower patch, any allergies should be reported to the coordinator in the first instance. The event is suitable for those aged 16 and up.
