YO! Princes Street, Edinburgh is hosting a special comedy night on the 10th August with laughter being used to power the iconic kaiten belt. Open Mic comedy nights continue until 17th August.
About Open Mic Night and Free Maki at YO! Sushi
On Thursday 10th August, YO! Princes Street in Edinburgh is hosting a special comedy night, with laughter being used to power the iconic kaiten belt - bringing diners their favourite sushi dishes in a way that’s never been done before! The speed of the restaurant’s belt will be determined by how much the audience laughs (detected through microphones in the restaurant).
Comedian and social media superstar Maddy Lucy Dann will be performing at 8PM with a fun-filled set to keep guests laughing!
The laughter detecting tech will remain in the Princes Street restaurant until Thursday 17th August where local comedians and would-be stand-ups can pick up the mic and test out their best one liners.
Sushi-lovers across the country can also bag themselves a free portion of maki by quoting the code ‘YO!MAKIMELAUGH’ when ordering at all UK restaurants until Sunday 20th August. A free portion of maki will be available for all Deliveroo orders until Wednesday 16th August.

• Available Thursday 10th August until Sunday 20th August 2023.
• Guests are entitled to one free portion of maki (cucumber + sesame, avocado, salmon or mixed maki) per table. Dine in only. The cheapest maki is free.
• Minimum spend of £10 applies.
• Quote YO!MAKIMELAUGH to a YO! Team Member when seating to redeem. Voucher can only be used once.
• Offer is non-transferable and not available with any other offer (eg Blue Light, UNiDAYS etc.) There is no cash alternative.
