Crew 2000 is a harm reduction and outreach charity based on Cockburn Street, Edinburgh. This small group workshop will cover a transformative justice approach to harm reduction and substance use, UK drug policy, building alternative community support around substance misuse, and what to do if you are stopped and searched by Police.
In this transformative justice workshop, they will introduce:
What is transformative justice?
What is harm reduction?
Our role in substance use, consent and boundaries around drugs.
An overview of UK drug policy.
Knowing your rights and what to do in a stop and search.
The group will discuss:
Building alternative support within communities.
Drug diversion schemes and drug checking.
What collective healing looks like within a transformative justice framework.
