Choreopoet Safiya Kamaria Kinshasa is known for her groundbreaking work in uniting poetry and dance on the page and stage, in this workshop Safiya will be guiding you through unique exercises to help you navigate your poetry to challenge and encourage you to embrace the weird and wonderful.
Safiya is currently in the development of a new performative writing technique known as the 'Kamaria Technique', some exercises will be curated from this practice. This workshop is for all levels, you do not need to be a professional poet or dancer, you just bring your enthusiasm, an open mind and the tools you use to write.
