8 weeks of Salt Therapy
Salt Therapy aka Halotherapy is a powerful, natural treatment using pure grade Pharmaceutical Salt in a controlled air medium that, according to studies, simulates the natural salt cave microclimate to treat allergies, respiratory and skin conditions. Salt is a natural and safe crystalline mineral and does not have any notable side effects.
Health Benefits of Salt Rooms / Halotherapy
Reported benefits include:
Mucoactive, clearing up mucus from the airways
Antibacterial, helping prevent infections
Anti-viral
Anti-inflammatory
Immunity boosting
Anti-allergenic
Increased Energy
Increased Lung Capacity
Halotherapy can also be used to treat breathing problems or post viral symptoms, which have emerged following the COVID-19 period from 2020 onwards, by improving breathing and the amount of oxygen in the blood.
Criteria To Be Considered for The Course:
This is the first study of its kind that we are aware of and study findings may be submitted to healthcare organisations such as the NHS for review and possible future referrals if the study findings are encouraging.
All participants must agree to completing a health questionnaire prior to being accepted onto the course.
Participants must agree to providing post course evaluation feedback / case study.
Participants must commit to attend all 8 classes.
Participants must agree to do the recommended home practice each week (this is a manageable amount and nothing to be concerned about).
The course will be facilitated by Gary Young from The Mindful Enterprise, who is an accredited teacher through The Mindfulness Association.
This Mindfulness Based Living Course (MBLC) is based on the work of the recently deceased international mindfulness teacher Rob Nairn and includes all the principles of Jon Kabat-Zinn’s Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) programme with the addition of compassion.
The aim of the course is to help participants develop a mindfulness practice that can be applied in both personal and professional life.
The course will include a mix of theory and experiential practice.
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
