Enjoy a moment for yourself as we explore the relationship between music, meditation and mental health with Japanese tea master and acclaimed storyteller Mio Shudo. Her enchanting Japanese tea ceremony will be accompanied with live piano music provided by award-winning pianist Matthew Shiel and his remarkable collection of bells and gongs.
Three thousand years ago, ancient civilisations recognised the special power of music to heal and doctors would often prescribe listening to music as a remedy or cure for various ailments. Tonight, we harness the power of music to unlock our creative potential and bring fresh insights to popular classical and contemporary piano repertoire including music by Chopin, Rachmaninoff, Debussy and Einaudi.
These concert experiences are a wonderful way to wind down after a busy week and each ticket includes a complimentary Japanese green tea - mindfully and personally prepared by our Japanese tea master Mio Shudo to promote health and wellbeing.
