Come join us during our upcoming eight-week Practical Spanish for Travel this spring in Portobello and get ready for your holiday! Perfect for those with zero or very little knowledge or for those who already know some Spanish but lack the confidence to put it into practice.
- In-person group class (minimum of 4 and maximum of 8 participants).
- Duration of the course is 8 weeks, 2h/week, so a total of 16h.
Wednesdays:
20th & 27th March
17th & 24th April
1st, 8th, 15th & 22nd May
- Classes are held on Wednesdays 6pm-8pm at Bellfield, 16B Bellfield St, Portobello.
- All materials are included in the price of the course.
- A 30-min online catch-up session is also included in the price of your course, so if you miss a class you can schedule this with your teacher to go over the content that was covered and ensure you stay on track.
- The price of the full 16h course if £165, just over £10 per hour!
This course is right for you if...
- You have zero or very little knowledge of Spanish (yes, even if you can order a drink or two and ask for the bill!)
- You can say and understand some words in Spanish but can't really string a sentence together.
- You would like to learn enough Spanish to have basic conversations while on holiday and be able to go to a restaurant or visit a place without worrying that they won't speak English.
- You feel that you should 'make an effort' to learn Spanish since you travel to Spain so often you could be fluent by now.
By the end of the course, you should be able to exchange personal information, talk about yourself, book a table and order at a restaurant, understand opening times, navigate public transport, make requests at a hotel and more!
Please bear in mind that this is a practical course and you will be required to spend most of the classes practicing the vocabulary and structures we learn and therefore, speaking in Spanish!
Last but not least, you are more than welcome to bring along some beer/wine (glassware provided) with you and have a drink and some fun while you learn and make friends! We want you to have a great time and learn Spanish in a friendly, relaxed and supportive environment :)
Where possible we will update our listings to notify of cancelled, postponed and rescheduled events, however we STRONGLY ADVISE that you check with the venue/organiser in the first instance for updates.
