Singing Willows is an interactive, musical show led with original songs and storytelling that will inspire children to dream.
Singing Willows is a musical project that promotes bilingualism, art, and nature through music, children’s literature, and performances. The project includes a children’s picture book, which features 20 bilingual songs about nature, wildlife, and silly adventures. The book is a tool that provides vibrant illustrations and original songs, making it a beautiful resource for bilingual parents and teachers.
Alexandra Borghino, the project’s creative director, author, singer, and illustrator, founded Singing Willows in the summer of 2021. With a background in theater, visual art, music, and childcare, Alexandra combined her passions to create a unique project. She worked with professional musicians to compose original bilingual folk songs and an engaging performance for young children.
