No experience required. Just eagerness and enthusiasm to learn how to safely get yourself in, up and down the hills safely, and confidently. Compass, map and waterproof map case provided.
Meet at Biggar Road, Edinburgh, opposite Esso Garage, EH10 7DU
The day will include looking at:
Maps, scales & symbols
Terrain features & contours
Understanding and using a compass
Bearings, pacing & timing
Grid references
Emergency procedures
Open Group Walk (Max 6 Persons)
Start Time – 08.00am
