Les Piques du Rivet is an ensemble of cellists based in Bordeaux. Most of the musicians have studied at the Conservatoire Jacques Thibaud de Bordeaux. Several of them teach and study music. A number of them have continued to play socially whilst also playing other instruments. And as you can see – it is an all-female orchestra. Their concert programme includes classical works, tangos and film music. It also features original material, some with a Scottish theme. And an arrangement of Nothing Else Matters by Metallica!
This concert is part of a project to create a privileged relationship between France and Scotland around a musical project, with the Franco-Scottish Society.
